QUESTIONS
I find guide work to my liking. As a guide dog I am considered
a professional in my world. I have a caring partner who
needs my assistance, excellent health plan, guaranteed retirement,
and I am admired by the public. But, I find some things
puzzling.
When we travel on a plane I question why the airlines give
him the window seat? Thirty thousand feet and 3 feet are
much the same to him.
In a restaurant, I question why do they give him a menu?
He cannot read it.
On the street, I question why people say to him “Watch
where you are going?” He can barely see them.
My life is filled with questions.
